Here's a great slow cooker recipe that works in the oven. This Five Hour Stew is great for leftovers! Note** cooks in 250 degree oven.
In a large casserole dish or Dutch oven add:
1 & 1/2 to 2 pounds cut up stew meat
cup diced celery
cup chopped onion
4-5 sliced potatoes
4-5 sliced carrots
can peas, drained
can diced tomatoes
4 tbs minute tapioca
2 tsp sugar
salt, pepper & garlic to taste.
Cube 2 slices of bread and place on top. Cover with foil and bake at 250 for 5 hours.
