First Day in New York

I spent a lot of today talking with New Yorkers today. Spent most of the afternoon walking around the finance district of New York.

Many are here for the 10thanniversary of the worst attack against the United States. What is somewhat strange is most have this look on their face that they are not sure if they are here for a celebration, a memorial, a remembrance, or a rebirth. They just knew they wanted to come here to pay tribute to the fallen, and I have been able to talk to a few of them.

I found myself almost in tears when hearing the story of a survivor, swell with patriotism when talking with an NYPD officer, and amazed at the story of a Welsh firefighter that needed to be here for his fallen firefighter brothers.

 

It has been an emotional day, but what a first day in NYC
