MARSHFIELD, Wis. (WSAU) – State medical regulators are meeting today in Marshfield.
The Medical Examining Board will meet at the Marshfield Clinic to help make their work more visible and accessible to residents and the practitioners whom they license, said Regulation and Licensing department spokesman David Carlson.
The meeting is from 8 to 10 a.m. In the Laird Center for Medical Research.
The meeting will include a discussion of a new bureau created in the state budget that will provide additional resources to handle credentialing and enforcement demands in the medical profession.
Department spokeswoman Celia Jackson and board chair Dr. Gene Musser will release more details about the new bureau during a 10 a.m. news conference.
