KALAMAZOO -- (WKZO) Michael Seals has won the Democratic primary for the 6th district Kalamazoo County commission seat and with no Republican opposition in the fall will become the 6th district Commissioner for Kalamazoo County in November.
Seals is the Veterans Affairs support coordinator for the Disability Network of Southwest Michigan beating incumbent Commissioner Franklin Thompson. Thompson a former police officer had served on the commission since 2003.
Seals says he is making jobs in Kalamazoo County a priority in his first term as a Commissioner. He will take office in November after the general election.
