HOLLAND -- The Battle Creek oil spill has had a major effect on the animals who reside in the area of the oil leak. whtc.com asked Dr. Jim Bader from Mapleview Animal Hospital to go over some of the issues associated with animals being caught in oil spills Thursday at the hospital.
Bader says Dawn soap is the best way to rid the animals of the oil but many issues arise when cleaning them, including oil getting stuck in feathers for birds and getting into the stream of reptiles through their skin.
