CHICAGO -- Amtrak will be putting on a fifth train between Kalamazoo and Chicago this Labor Day weekend that will make full day trips to the Windy City possible. There are those who want it to be a permanent part of the schedule. Rick Harnish with the High Speed Rail Association says it would make it possible to regularly commute from S.W. Michigan to Chicago…

Leave Kalamazoo at 5:50AM arrive in Chicago at 7:30. You could then make the last trip back either after a day of work or after the play on one of the existing trains.  Harnish wants you to ride the train this weekend, or contact AMTRAK and tell them to fund it.
