Terre Haute (WIBQ)-An accident Monday afternoon claimed the life of one person and sent another to the hospital. Police say that Robert W. Counterman of Vigo County was killed when the vehicle in which he was a passenger overturned. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 21 year old Brittany L. Counterman. She was airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle refused treatment. According to police, Police report that the Counterman vehicle turned in front of another vehicle which struck the passenger side where Robert Counterman was sitting. The Counterman vehicle then overturned. The accident happened on State Road 46 in Terre Haute at Bill Farr Drive near the eastside Walmart store just before 5:00 PM.
