Norm Isotello with Michigan’s Unemployment Insurance agency says if jobless workers continued to report on schedule, they should experience no disruption in payments.
He says that’s at least for the next month for those who are on the trailing edge of their eligibility. After that it will depend on whether Congress has approved a longer extension. The last few days had been nail-biting time for 130-thousand Michigan residents, who have had a hard enough time without the additional drama.
