WARREN (WKZO) -- Warren Police are seeking abuse and abandonment charges against the mother and father of a three-year-old boy left at a children's restaurant. The manager of the Caesarland off of Hoover Road found the boy alone around 9 p.m. on Saturday.
Police Commissioner William Dwyer says the separated parents both thought the boy went home with the other parent and was safe. The family had gone to the restaurant to celebrate the boy's third birthday. He was placed in foster care by Child Protective Services. T
he child's parents live in the same Warren apartment complex, but not together. The mother and father both contacted Little Caesar's about the missing child on Monday, when they figured out what happened. The prosecutor's office could decide today whether to charge the 33-year-old woman and 41-year-old man, who have not been identified.
