KALAMAZOO -- The Portland teen who barely survived a fall from a balcony at a frat house party in Kalamazoo had been drinking before falling headfirst onto the pavement below. She remains in critical condition at Bronson Hospital ICU. Tests show that Jordyn Sanderson had a blood alcohol count that was over twice the legal limit for adults, at 1.8, but she was not of legal age. She was 18 and so any alcohol in her system l is reason for concern and could mean criminal charges if they can find out where she got the alcohol. Assistant Chief Brian Uridge says that could be difficult. They haven’t been getting a lot of cooperation.

University officials have issued a ‘cease and desist’ order against the fraternity while they conduct an investigation. Police believe the teen fell through gaps in the balcony rail.
