KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Jury selection was scheduled for Tuesday morning in the murder trial of Besham Sugrim, who is charged with the killing of Linda Gibson.
Her nude body was found a few blocks from his Edison Neighborhood home in 2003, dumped in the high grass in a vacant lot off Lay Boulevard.
Sugrim is charged with first degree murder.
One of the main witnesses against him may be his wife, who claims he confessed to the killing and another one in New York state in 1995. She said she was afraid to come forward until last year because he had threatened to kill her and the children if she ever talked.
Once he was arrested and incarcerated for beating their daughter, she felt safe enough to tell police what she knew.
