SHELBY (WKZO) -- Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney talked about the economy at a town hall-style meeting Tuesday in Shelby Township.
At the event, held at Eagle Manufacturing, Romney addressed the promises made by President Obama that have not been realized in his first term. Included in that list was the pledge to keep unemployment under eight-percent.
The national jobless rate has not fallen below that figure during the president's first term. The latest polls are now showing Romney and former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum nearly tied.
Michigan's Primary will be held in one week.
