LANSING (WKZO) -- Michigan residents are being encouraged to participate in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The event will be held this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with over 200 locations statewide accepting expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.
Attorney General Bill Schuette says surplus prescription drugs in a home represents a danger to communities and young people in the state. He also said the number of accidental poisoning and overdoses due to these drugs are alarmingly high.
The program is free and anonymous.
