KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- It appears that Mark Totten, Kalamazoo’s candidate for Attorney General is no longer the only democrat in the race.
Detroit Attorney Godfrey Dillard now says he wants the job, and took a few swipes at Totten as he threw his hat in the ring. Dillard questioned where Totten has been on many of the big issues of the day. Totten is an MSU Law Professor.
Dillard says he has been in court fighting for democratic principals on civil rights and affirmative action. Dillard has worked for the State Dept. and is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court and the U.S. International Court of Trade.
The candidates for Attorney General are selected by party delegates and not by voters at a primary. Voters however will make the final selection.
