DETROIT (WKZO)- The Detroit Tigers have made a move to strenghten their bullpen. They have aquired Texas Rangers relief pitcher Joakim Soria throught a trade. The Tigers gave up pitchers Corey Knebel and Jake Thompson.
Soria has 17 saves this season with a 2.70 ERA. His contract incluedes a $7 million dollar club option for 2015.
The Tigers are reporting they will continue to use Joe Nathan as the closer.
