DEARBORN (WKZO) -- For some reason Michigan Motorists are paying about a quarter more per gallon than the rest of the nation for a gallon of self-serve regular.
A pair of brand new fuel reports show that the average price nationwide is 3.69 per gallon.
The new AAA report for Michigan, just out Monday morning shows the average price here is much higher, $3.95 a gallon on average.
While the Michigan price has gone up each of the last three weeks, Pollster Trilby Lundberg says the national price has remained flat during that period.
She expects prices at the pump may drop a little in the coming weeks, but she says it won’t fall substantially until the price of crude oil drops.
