LANSING (WKZO) -- Bills to boost microbrewing are headed to Governor Snyder’s desk.
The bills would double the amount a producer can brew from 30-thousand to 60-thousand barrels a year, and still be considered a "microbrewer".
Rep. Kevin Cotter says another bill would allow brewpub owners to have a financial interest in up to five other locations.
A third bill would allow a microbrewer to sell beer at two tasting rooms instead of just one.
Cotter says it will create jobs and more great beer.
The bills passed with by-partisan support. Among the few no votes; Ken Kurtz of Coldwater and Amanda Price of Holland.
