BUFFALO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo Central Grad Devon Oliver is moving on to the Sweet-16 after his 11th seeded Dayton Flyers upset the 3rd seed, Syracuse 55 to 53 on Saturday.

Syracuse was the team that crushed the WMU Broncos in the Second round.

Oliver scored 7 points, made 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the game.

Reuters is reporting that President Obama sent a Tweet to Oliver after the upset win to congratulate him.

“Devin Oliver, I may need to take you up on that pick-up game one of these days," he wrote in a twitter signed "bo," which indicates the President wrote it himself.

Oliver met the President and made the offer of a game the year that the Maroon Giants won the opportunity to have President Obama speak at their graduation in 2010.

Oliver helped the Maroon Giants win a State Basketball Championship that year.

President Obama had predicted that Dayton would lose in the first round when he filled out his bracket on ESPN last week.
