KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo residents are being asked to continue to run a pencil-sized stream of water through their pipes until April 20th to prevent frozen pipes. City officials say Kalamazoo's hydrant flushing program begins on April 21st. MLive.com reports this past winter was the worst in history for frozen pipes in the city, breaking a record set in 1978.
