KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo's Northwoods league baseball team has unveiled a new burger set to be on the menu at its home games. Many minor league teams are notorious for their bizarre concessions menu items, with the West Michigan Whitecaps offering the Fifth Third Burger and the Battle Creek Bombers the sweet and salty Twinkie Dog. Now, the Growlers are getting in on the action with the Bear Claw Burger.
The Bear Claw Burger is a half-pound Angus hamburger topped with Ebel's barbeque pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw between two Sweetwater’s Donut Mill bear claws. The team says the burger is designed to serve two people, it comes with two bags of potato chips, and will be 12 dollars at all Kalamazoo Growlers home games at Mayor's Riverfront Park. The home opener is set for May 30th.
